Mathew Perry was best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the show Friends. He was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on October 28, 2023. Perry was only 54 years old when he passed. The last person who saw him alive was his assistant, who he sent out to run errands a few hours before his death. The authorities were called to Perry’s home at around 4 p.m. as stated by Law enforcement and a representative from Perry’s family
Perry’s cause of death is still yet to be confirmed but sources state that he allegedly drowned in his hot tub. Captain Scot Williams of the, Los Angeles Police was the commander of the robbery-homicide division investigating Perry’s death. He stated“ The cause of death might not be known for some time, but at this point foul play is not suspected.”
In his book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, readers learned that he was struggling with an addiction to drugs and alcohol prior to and during the filming of the show, Friends. After investigating the scene, Law Enforcement has confirmed no illicit drugs were found. However, an anonymous source has stated that prescription medication was found in his home.
Hollywood has shown immense support, with co-stars and producers alike sharing their favorite memories of Perry. Many fans have also shown their respect for the death of Matthew Perry. In such a short lifespan, Matthew Perry has made his way into fans’ hearts.
